SBC T-Shirt Design Contest

The SBC T-Shirt Contest was first launched in 2021 and is open to all community members.  It is our goal to have this be an annual contest to engage with the local art community.  The winning design should be breastfeeding related and align with both the SBC mission statement and the vision of the Karen Evon scholarship. 

 

Each submission should include the design file and a short narrative explaining how the design aligns with the SBC and Karen Evon Scholarship’s mission.  The narrative should be no longer than 1/2 a page in length.

 

The winning design will be printed on t-shirts and will be sold online for community members to purchase.  All funds raised from the sales of this t-shirt will fund the SBC’s Karen Evon Scholarship.

Submission Guidelines

  • One entry per person

  • Design will appear on the front of the t-shirt

  • Design can use up to 5 different colors

  • Design should be no larger than 12” x 12”

  • Design must be an original design

  • Design should include SBC logo or say ‘Sacramento Breastfeeding Coalition’

  • All entries must be sent as a .jpg, .pnf, or .pdf file.  Winner may be required to send the original file.

  • All entries must have a short narrative explaining how the design represents and/or is related to breastfeeding, the SBC, and the Karen Evon scholarship.

  • All entries become SBC property and alterations can be made to the design after submission for use by the SBC.

FAQs

  • Who can submit a design?

All community members, including SBC coalition members can submit a design.  Submissions from an active SBC board will not be allowed.

  • What happens if a SBC coalition member submits the winning design?

If a SBC coalition member submits the winning design they will forfeit the one (1) annual SBC membership prize.  They will still receive the $50 cash prize and one (1) SBC t-shirt of their choice.

  • What is the deadline for submitting a design?

Submissions must be received electronically by 08/06/2022 at 11:59PM PST.

  • How can I submit my design?

Designs should be sent via e-mail to Sacbreastfeeding@gmail.com with the Subject: SBC Tshirt Design Contest 2022

  • What if I don’t have access to internet?

If you do not have access to internet but would like to submit a design, please call SBC at 916-407-4972 so we can discuss alternative solutions.

  • Can multiple people collaborate on a design?

Yes, but only one of each prize item will be awarded.  Submitters will need to decide between themselves how to allocate the prize.

  • How will a winning design be picked?

All active SBC members will have an opportunity to vote on the submissions.

  • If I am not an SBC member yet, can I become a member and participate in the T-shirt Design Contest voting?

  • When will voting take place?

Voting will take place via online survey on 08/07/2022.
